That CW guy must be the same guy who does it on TV. "Short by 2 yards...no 1 yard....6 inches....FIRST DOWN!"

As for the JJ Kelly guy, I never said it was in a rulebook...I just said the guy gets on your nerves. Went throught this same conversation last year...and even people from Wise agreed. My opinion is, the stadum announcer is there to give information to the fans, NOT root for a team.

I think there is a rule against it just like there is about bands playing during plays.

When Clintwood played at Wise I guess he needed something to get excited about. Robinson broke a run off left tackle and was about 10 yards into the run when a diving Kelly player tipped the back of his shoe and he fell, of course that led to "BIIIIIIIIIIG HIT BY A HOST OF JJ KELLY INDIANS!!!". I caught the CW-GC game the last time GC came to Clintwood (before this year),and I was telling elp that I wsn't sure if he was getting drunk,or was just old and getting tired, but by the 4th quarter we were both noticing that his slurring was getting worse

He's not talking about Shanghai, he's talking about the PA guy, Joe.

My brother pointed out to me this season several times (at several games) that the bands were playing during plays/downs. I didn't even notice it was happening until he showed me and I realized that it was true.

One of the most recent games that comes to mind is the Coeburn/St. Paul game, in which St. Paul's band was playing several time during the action. I know that NSSB was probably there, so he could probably confirm it unless he just didn't catch it. We've seen it at several other games, too, although I can't actually name which ones as I can't remember exactly.

    Re: PV-54 Pound-7

I guess it's just not a rule that's highly enforced. The band doesn't get much attention when they're not out on the field either, though (especially smaller ones), so I'd say it'd be a little easy to overlook it.
